IT expert Terry has worked in both the private and public sector, implementing service improvements and maximising emerging technologies for the Fire & Rescue services, Highways services, Children's Services, Adult Care and Archaeologists.
Terry knows the value of a good start in life, beginning work as a sixteen-year-old apprentice which led him to holding various senior positions and elevating his qualifications to Masters Degree level.
Terry said, “Shortly, I will be stepping down from my position at the National Careers Service, which has been a privilege to work in and change people’s lives for the better. The job gave me a great insight to what challenges people face.
“I have carried out a significant amount of charity work, but I feel the the time has come for me to put much more back in to my community. Having lived in Solihull for 30-plus years, I’ve realised working for residents in council is the best way to do this. I know I would be an asset as a councillor, not just for my experience in the public sector, but also my understanding in what inhibits citizens from achieving their goals in their daily lives. I hope I can rely on your vote.”
